BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) Closed to New International Students From 5 October 2026: Options If You Are Already in Australia
The BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) closes to new international students from 5 October 2026, but students already enrolled can continue while CoE holders who haven't started must seek alternatives.
From 5 October 2026, the BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) (管理研究生文凭(学习方向)) will no longer accept new international student enrolments. If you have already commenced the course before that date, you can continue and complete it. If you hold a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) but have not started, your CoE will be cancelled on 5 October 2026 and you cannot begin the course.
What “already started” means
You are considered to have commenced the course if you have enrolled and begun classes before 5 October 2026. In this case, you may continue studying and finish the qualification without interruption.
If you have a CoE but have not commenced
If you hold an offer or a CoE for the GDML but have not started classes by 5 October 2026, your CoE for this course will be cancelled on that date. You will not be able to start the GDML, even with a valid CoE. Contact your education provider as soon as possible to discuss your situation.
If the GDML is part of a packaged offer
If the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) is included in a package of courses but you have not started it, you may be able to continue with the other courses in your package. Your provider should explain how the change affects your overall study plan and discuss options such as transferring to another course or receiving a refund of unspent tuition fees.
Options if you cannot commence the GDML
When the change results in a provider default, your provider must act within 14 days by either: - Offering you a suitable alternative course that you accept in writing, or - Refunding your unspent tuition fees.
If the provider does not meet these obligations, the Tuition Protection Service (TPS) may be able to assist. You should also use the Study Australia Find a course tool to search for current courses and providers available to international students. When considering alternatives, ensure the course supports your study goals and meets any relevant Student visa and Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level requirements.
Visa implications
Changing your course or study plan may affect your Student visa. Before making any changes, check the Department of Home Affairs website for visa requirements. For advice on your individual circumstances, contact a migration agent registered with the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA).
Why this change was made
The Australian Government issued a legislative instrument under the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act) to suspend and cancel the CRICOS registration of the GDML. The decision follows identification of significant and systemic integrity concerns, including enrolment patterns, student transfers, non-commencement, completion outcomes, and possible student visa integrity risks. The action aims to protect international students, maintain confidence in the sector’s integrity, and safeguard the student visa system.
