Onshore applicants and Bond University Bachelor of Psychological Science / Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours): entry and enrolment points

Bond University lists IELTS Academic at 7.0 overall with no sub-score below 6.5 for entry to its Bachelor of Psychological Science.

Onshore applicants to Bond University's two psychology programs meet two different entry tests. The bachelor's comes down to an ATAR or IB result, or an early offer while you are still at school. The honours year comes down to completed psychology study and a GPA. Both are taught at the Gold Coast campus, and both list the same four start dates.

Two programs, two entry gates

The Bachelor of Psychological Science (HS-20035, CRICOS 062655C) runs 2 years across 6 semesters. The Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) (HS-22002, CRICOS 063047G) runs 8 months across 2 semesters.

Both are on-campus programs at the Gold Coast Campus. The honours year is not a first-year entry point: you need an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited three-year sequence in psychology, or equivalent, before you can start it.

Four start dates, identical for both programs

Each program lists September 2026, January 2027, May 2027 and September 2027 as on-campus intakes at the Gold Coast. An onshore applicant therefore has four entry windows across the two calendar years, and the same four apply whichever of the two programs you are entering.

What gets you into the bachelor

Australian Year 12 applicants need an ATAR of 65, or an equivalent Selection Rank. International Baccalaureate applicants need a Diploma with a total aggregate score of 24.

If you are in your final year of secondary school in Australia, or Year 13 in New Zealand, you can apply for an early offer before you finish your studies or sit your final exams. The scheme is built to give you an answer before results season, not after it.

English scores are not the same for the two programs

The bachelor sets a higher English bar than the honours year, which catches some applicants out when they assume one test result covers both.

For the Bachelor of Psychological Science:

  • IELTS Academic: overall 7.0, with no sub-score below 6.5
  • PTE Academic: overall 65, with no communicative score below 58

For the Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours):

  • IELTS Academic: overall 6.5, with no sub-score below 6.0
  • PTE Academic: overall 58, with no communicative score below 50

Honours entry runs on marks, not on a rank

Entry to the honours year requires completion of an APAC-accredited three-year sequence of study in psychology, or equivalent. Applicants are assessed on academic merit only.

The stated minimum is a GPA of 2.0 on Bond University's 4-point scale, which corresponds to 65%, across all second- and third-level psychology subjects in the undergraduate degree. The program also lists additional entry requirements that sit alongside the academic assessment.

2027 tuition, program by program

For the Bachelor of Psychological Science, international tuition for 2027 is AUD 26,200 per semester. The total program fee is listed at AUD 157,200.

For the Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), international tuition for 2027 is AUD 24,255 per semester. The total program fee is listed at AUD 48,510.

Both sets of figures are indicative. They vary with the subjects you choose and your year of commencement, and the rate that applies is the one set for the year you start.

How the credit points divide

The bachelor totals 240 credit points: 190 compulsory credit points for the essential subjects and 50 elective credit points to tailor the degree.

The honours year totals 80 credit points across its two semesters.

Where the two programs actually differ

The intakes, the campus and the on-campus mode are identical. Beyond that, the differences are the ones that shape an application: 2 years against 8 months, 240 credit points against 80, AUD 26,200 against AUD 24,255 per semester for 2027, IELTS 7.0 against 6.5, and an ATAR-based entry against a GPA-based one on completed psychology subjects.

Intake dates, fees and entry requirements are set for each year of entry, and the figures that apply to you are those published for the year you start.
